Several years ago I thought it would be nice
to have a "One of A Kind" show headstall for my own horse.
Where do you get it? You make it yourself! I
decided to learn the art of braiding.
I had no idea
what I was getting into.... I started buying all the hand
tools and supplies necessary, and in endless nights I taught
myself how to braid all these different knots. The
finished product probably cost me about $900.00 in material
tools and labor, but I had a "One of a Kind" headstall, and
that was my goal. I improved my skills over the past
years and still enjoy leather crafting.
I mainly manufacture show headstalls and dog collars
in a wide variety of styles, but
work on smaller projects like key fobs as well.
One thing
all items have in common
...they are handcrafted and custom designed from quality English Bridle leather
or saddle skirting, most braiding is done with finest kangaroo
lace. The leather is hand-cut with hand-dyed and
finished edges. All headstalls and larger dog collars
are double sewn for lasting quality and finished with Tan Kote
for protection.
